We are Don't Look Down Theatre Company.
The company was founded in the Fall of 2015 by Fanshawe College’s Theatre Arts graduates, Cedric Martin, Daniel Entz, and Ryan James. Don't Look Down is a Toronto-based theatre company committed to bringing important issues, stories, and characters to the stage. The company's debut production, Rose of Youth, premiered at the Montreal Fringe in 2016. Rose of Youth was originally workshopped at Frolick Theatre in Toronto in May of 2016. Since then the company has created 2 more original productions. Local Man Ruins Everything, performed at the London Fringe, and Not Good, which was performed at the Toronto Fringe, both in the summer of 2017. The 2017 season was closed out in December with Never Swim Alone by Daniel MacIvor, the first non-original play put on by the company. |

Don’t Look Down has big plans. We’ve been focused on solidifying our goals as a theatre company, and have really fantastic ideas to move forward with. Our theatre mandate continues to focus on bringing Canadian plays to the stage, but we’re planning to expand beyond theatre as well. Look for Self-Possessed this summer the first of many films to come from the cinematic side of Don’t Look Down. And of course watch for the plays. The Ends of the Earth is next up in August of this year.
